Music videos are created for numerous purposes: sales, demos, auditions, etc.
The end use that you have in mind determines what appears on your video tape and/or dvd.
If your purpose is sales, then you want complete songs, recreating the live experience.
If your purpose is to solicit venues (a demo) then your video and/or dvd would be parts of songs, with more utilization of graphics and text to tell your story in a short period of time.
An audition tape/dvd would contain portions of both.
Music videos are a highly creative and intense experience. We would need your constant input, both during the filming and during the editing process.
You, in effect, are the co-producer, co-director, and co-editor.
